SELECTED GOOD OL' STUFF...

STILL FOND OF MY

Old Paintings

A gallery of old glories—paintings created over time, recovered from old photo galleries and slides. I haven’t followed any particular chronological order: you’ll find some pieces from my student years at the academy, works exhibited at the Karachi show at Ziggurat Gallery back in 1993, where I exhibited alongside my friend Massimo Paganini, as well as studies from my Berlin period and pieces created between one studio and another. As I continue to rediscover works, I’ll keep adding them here.

THE PLEASURE OF HAND PRINTING

Exploring the Art of Linocut

I have two beautiful cast iron presses—one for linoleum printing and one for bookbinding—with which, time permitting, I’ve enjoyed printing on Fabriano paper (50% or 100% cotton). I’ve created medium-format images, roughly A3 in size, carved on linoleum plates. There’s nothing more fragrant and evocative than a freshly carved linoleum sheet!
